Bought Lumia 640xl

Just got mine but it feels like they cut too many corners with this one.
Its a 4G LTE single-SIM version for the Nordic/Baltic region (RM-1062).

The first I noticed was the high gloss cover, perhaps some people will like that but I find it hideous and its probably slippery compared to the matte soft touch version. I actually put it back in the box to return it.

Realised I could get a different cover later on so gave it try and booted it up.
I didnt get very far though. Im at the WLAN- setup and it wont find my 5 GHz network. Im guessing it lacks support for 5 GHz WLAN, same issue with the Nordic version of the 1320 but I thought we moved on, its 2015 by now.

Could it be a initial boot issue and that 5 GHz will work once the phone has been fully set-up? Or do you reckon it really lacks this support?

Anyone else got this problem with 5 GHz network?

I thought so too, until I unboxed mine...



Would be really glad if someone could try their 640XL on a 5GHz WIFI, my version seems to lack support for that.

So 640 xl is made in Vietnam device rather than famous made in china?
