Brand new Surface Pro & keyboard, some buttons seem to be reversed?

brand new surface pro & keyboard, some buttons seem to be reversed?

I bought a brand new surface pro and additional keyboard yesterday. I'm setting it up and when I press 'shift 2' to get @ symbol, I get ". And when I press shift " I get the @ symbol.... so basically the functions are reversed. Did I get a dodgy one? Do I return it and exchange it? or is there a way to reset the keyboard?

You have the UK keyboard, rather than the US keyboard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_and_American_keyboards

You'll need to change your keyboard to US.
