Bug with alarm volume

For some reason my alarm always starts on full volume. My last phone (HTC Mozart) started quietly and got louder. Being woken up at full volume is not nice.
Does anyone else have this issue with the Lumia 800?

i always try and set my volume at 15-20 before i pass out so that my alarm doesnt do just that, scare me out of sleep
