Build 10149 + incoming/outgoning text messages

Hi!

Since the update to 10149 I've ihaving issues with text messages not being sent or recieved. I'm sorry if the topic is duplicated but I havn't found thread regarding this issue.

Anyone who has the same issue and maybe even a solution? I updated from a clean 8.1 and did a hard reset afterwards and skipped the restore backup function.

So its all clean (same issue when I use my backups)

I read somewhere that it is caused by having a google account synced to the phone?

I had this same issue and deleting my synced Google account fixed it. If anyone finds a solution to getting messages working while having a synced Google account please let me know. I miss having Google on my phone but felt messaging was more important.

I have the same text message issue although I don't have Google account but iCloud.
You really think that causes the problem?

Its coz of gmail account. Maybe iCloud too.

I had this problem as I came from a clean 8.1 install on a brand new phone. I was pretty bummed, since my company uses google mail domains. I couldn't send or receive SMS. I flashed back to 8.1 and set up my device, but then thought i should try the insider build once more.

This time - when i came from NOT a clean build - SMS works perfectly. Gmail accounts added and everything.

Seems to be different for different folks... but a "dirty" upgrade to 10149 is what did the trick for me.

Use FieldMedic app to provide feedback. After enabling logs for all categories reboot the phone and try the scenarios before providing the feedback.

two Google accounts synced here on my L830, no issues with text messages at all.Came from a freshly flashed 8.1 with nothing set up (no gmail accounts). Added Google accounts on 10149. No text messaging issues.

I am receiving an error that Messaging needs to be uninstalled and fails to open. When taken to the app store to re-install the store crashes. Had the same problem with the camera but the app reinstalled after roughly 10 attempts. Using a Lumia 1020. I do have a Google account synced.

Hey, finally text messages work for me. This is what i've done :

1. Install Sys App Pusher
2. Go to Sys App Pusher, and download extras and info from old store
3. Wait till installer done
4. Get notif from extras & Info "welcome to lumia cyan"
5. Finally work to receive/send messages

Still doesn't help. My issue is that I got all my contacts on gmail.

I eported all the contacts to my Microsoft account and all is good since they're successfully imported but I cant seen to be able to get them on the phone....

mine got solved by removing my gmail account and doing soft reset. i can't believe an email account can affect short messaging services. i'm quite crippled since all my contacts are in my gmail and it is my main work email.

i exported csv from my gmail and imported to ms account. it went okay. i synced my ms account and i got the contacts.

btw. i tried linking my gmail contacts to my ms account. but it did not show on my phone. i had to extract csv from gmail and import to ms.
