Bummer! The Lumia MixRadio service just shut down!

I was literally listening to my mix and Demon Hunter was the last song to play then the mix stopped.
When I tried to play the mix again it have a service error.
So I closed the app and reopened it and it said the service is closed.

I knew it was closing but I thought we had until the end of the month.

This sucks. That was the best music radio service ever. Pandora plays commercials unless you pay for premium. And the premium Groove music player is $10 a month. Hmm...

mixradio is good but it can't make profit in reasonable way. it was free and contained no ad. who will pay for it?

When Line originally acquired it and made it cross platform, there was talk of reintroducing paid plans for all platforms, but apparently that fell through.

I had actually signed up for the $3.99/mo premium service when I first got my used 1520 and had the app. Then one day I got an email saying they were making changes but I would not be charged anymore.
Which it then went back to the free mode all the way until this month when they canned it.

The premium service gave you unlimited skips and unlimited mix downloads.

Now I am having to put more music into my onedrive and use the shuffle feature.
But I’ll miss MixRadio because it added similar type bands and I’d learn about new bands that way.
