Link to backup what you just said?
There is no official source to they will be upgradable/not upgradable by Microsoft or anyone else. Nobody whatsoever.
If you think Microsoft is about to let off their little marketshare they have left, I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. They definitely won't be doing the same thing with Windows Mobile to Windows Phone again. Not for a long while will it happen.
Apollo For All Windows Smartphones
Bing around and prove (with an official source) that they will step into the same graveyard as Windows Mobile. Don't come in saying that they won't be upgradable, period.
Besides, Microsoft and Nokia are trying to have Windows Phone to not carry fragmentation.

If the 1st and 2nd gen devices don't receive the Apollo update, then fragmentation will be caused. They will definitely not go down this road.
And finally, Mango apps will run on Apollo.

So, hopefully, this is enough for you to realize that more than likely, they aren't dropping current gen devices. Get your sources, buddy.
