Shouldn't the calendar alert me with a tone when I have an appointment? As far as I know I have all the alerts set to on. It's frustrating because I keep missing tv shows.

Are you setting reminders? Those are what actually signal for a sound and pop-up alert as far as I can tell.

I receive alerts for all my events. You can also try the TV show app or actually set reminders on your TV.

I think I found the problem. I had reminders set, but the status defaulted to busy, so I changed that to free and it worked when I tested it.

I have the PrimeTV app, which is great, but it doesn't integrate with the calendar on the phone and it doesn't alert me other than it popping up on the screen.

If your phone is on vibrate, you will not get an audio alert. Only the alarms will still provide an audio alert when the phone is on vibrate.

Trust me, I made sure that wasn't the problem. :D

You still blindly follow TV schedules? Are you living in the 20th century? Get a PVR, free yourself from schedules that someone else sets.

Windows Media Centre is pretty amazing if you want a suggestion.

I actually like watching it on schedule. And if I don't watch it on schedule I have other ways of watching it. But using Windows Media Center might be a good idea.

Obviously, way off-topic here, but I've been using Media Center since about 2007 and it's pretty amazing. It is not completely trouble and maintenance-free, there is usually some time at the beginning to get it working, and the updates can break things, etc. But pretty dang awesome and versatile.
