I am trying to add football schedules to my 1520s calendar. Outlook.com says I need the calendar URL.

Is there a repository of URLs somewhere?

Strange, never seen that before. If you add the appointments on outlook.com they should appear on the phone. Are you using the same account and calendar?

Football or futbol? Anyway, most NFL teams have a schedule/calendar file/link on the websites for Outlook and sometimes just for Google+ and iCloud, both of which can be uploaded to Outlook.

Download one or more iCal files iCal NFL Schedules - South End Zone

In browser open Outlook Calendar and select Import.

Sure... You want to hunt the webz for iCal files. Your college team's site probably has them.
