Call+SMS filter not opening

Since I updated to wp8.1, every time I try to open Call+SMS filter on my Lumia 810, I get this error message



Anyone else get the same message? If so, have you figured out the problem?

Hey you can try this method. First of all we have to install call+SMS filter from your phone , to do so just follow this article How to uninstall any OEM app on Windows Phone 8 or 8.1 | Windows Phone Central
After doing this you have to re-install call + SMS from windows phone store , here is the link call+SMS filter | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

No, this has been reported by previous posters. I got the error, and still have, from when I tried the uninstall trick from your link. I'm guessing updating with a hard reset is what will cure it, but I've no need to reset just yet. I'll wait and see if a bug is removed under the full 8.1 release.

I was getting the same error also. Mine would occur with the Call+SMS Filter and also the Info Settings. I don't remember if it was the 8.1dp second update that fixed it, the app updates after the 8.1dp was installed, or a few soft resets.
Mine were throwing errors for about 3 weeks and didn't seem to effect the phone in any way, so I just ignored them. I would try to check for an update for 8.1 or for the Call+SMS Filter using SysApp Pusher in the store.

Does this app even work? I'm on Verizon & I have set this up after each update hoping it would work. It never does - is this carrier specific?

@sicnus, yes this app does work. I got my phone reflashed last week and it's all present and correct. Even after the update, still working.

TYVM, I'll give it another try. I also found out it won't block anything in ur contacts, didn't know that

Really? I first tested it by blocking my home number. It blocked it. Gives an engaged tone other end.

I had that same error message previous to 8.1. It never worked once on my 920. But once I got my 1520 and flashed 8.1 it has worked like a charm. Not sure what the issue was to be honest. Just glad it's not happening anymore.

Appears to be working now! Now I can - consider - deleting my dummy contacts with special silent rings for telemarketers!

I also have the problem. My phone had problems and was flashed at Microsoft customer care office last week. When I got it back, the call and sms filter were no longer working and I need to block so many intrusive numbers. Any help yet?

The following works on Lumia 920 according to forum on microsoft
"On my Lumia 920 this did the trick
1. I changed date to 2120, then uninstalled Call+SMS Filter
2. changed date back to today, then re-installed Call+SMS Filter from https://forums.windowscentral.com/e...2Fcallsmsfilter%2F9wzdncrfj3jf&token=oeDRnuLU
3. there was no change - Call+SMS Filter still failed to open

5. Soft rebooted
6. Call+SMS Filter now working! (after 12 months, finally got it working)"
