Calories burned while charging

This may be a stupid question by I plugged my band in for the first time and set it up. Now it's charging separately but it shows calories being burned, a small about maybe 30 calories in a half hour but I'm not doing anything. The band is literally sitting in the floor charging. Should it be doing this?

Correct it is taking into account your Basil Metabolic Rate

This is a normal behavior. My FitBit does the same thing as it needs to calculate to the best of it's ability total calories burned for the day, not just when you are wearing it. I wish MS would allow to manually enter the exercises as few times I forgot to wear the Band and have no way of reporting it later, like Fitbit allows.
If MS is listening, this should be not too difficult to introduce via App update.

I'd like to see an update that shows the difference between your exercise and your basil metabolic rate.
