WPCentral Question

hello everyone,
On my new Lumia 925 with WP8.1 my camera button has stopped responding.
The manual says to press down slightly, which activates the camera, and press all the way down to take a photo.
I bought the 925 before the upgrade to 8.1. Then, if I remember correctly (I could be wrong though), the button worked as it should.
Now the camera can only be activated with either the tile on the screen, or from the camera app.
Did the upgrade change a setting somewhere that caused the camera button to be dead?

You have to press the camera button fully to activate the camera. Pressing down slightly is for focusing.
Check the photo+camera settings

The consumer release version of WP8.1 with Lumia Cyan shouldn't cause such issues.

Try downloading the Nokia Software Recovery Tool and flash your phone to make sure that this isn't a software issue. Backup your data before doing so.

If the problem still persists, then it's definitely a hardware issue. Take it to a Nokia Care Centre to get it fixed.

Go into settings and choose a default camera app. If its already selected, changed it. Try it, change it again. That should fix it.
