I've had my HTC WP 8X for about three weeks now. Today, for the first time, I got a weird problem -- it began going into camera mode by itself, quite randomly and frequently.
Turning the phone off and on again had no effect. I called AT&T, and they had me do a complete reset. The phone continued to exhibit the behavior. AT&T is sending me a new unit under warranty.
After hanging up with AT&T, I thought about the physical camera button. I blew it out with compressed air.
For a while, after the phone had been turned off, I turned it back on and the behavior was gone. But after leaving it on for a while, it returned. It sometimes happens when I pick the phone up or set it down-- and, no, I'm not pushing the shutter button or touching a camera icon by mistake.
Has anyone else had anything like this?
