Camera will not focus!

Is there any fix for this? The camera screen waves like its under water, it makes erratic clicking noises and will not focus! holy its unusable :crying:

Sounds like malfunctioning/sluggish OIS mechanism.

My 1020 used to act like that on occasion.
I often had to tap on the back of the phone or shake it to get focus back.
You may need a professional to look at your device.

From what I know about OIS in general some parts of the inner elements do actually move to stabilize pictures.

I have the same problem. I resetted the phone because of my daughter giving it to me, and noticed that with an older camera app version it worked well. Now with the newest, it doesnt focus. Even when focussing manually....

Have you tried a different camera app to see if that helps solve the issue?

Thanks for the idea, will do that tomorrow.
I'm now not sure wheter it was a newer camera version, or ift it was the newest update (no insider) as my daughter complained about it after the last OS Update. Might be coincidence...

If it doesn't work with another camera app, I'll try with an insider build. 15063 seems to be pretty good already.

This is a known issue and has been documented on this forum at least 3 or 4 times... Camera instability forced me to leave the platform.

The behaviour is od, and the camera sometimes makes a clicking noise. I think it's a HW Failure. :/

Btw, 1703.15063 is great, much snappier than the 1607.xxx
