Can I find things on my phone from the computer?

I have a widows phone 8.1 and I want to locate files, apps and recording and pictures that I used on my phone, from my laptop. Is this possible?

You can search for files, media files, photos, etc. except apps when you connect your phone to your PC. Just open a file window and navigate to your phone, then perform the search there.
