Can I get continuum in Lumia 830

NO. it needs a special hardware for it to work. and so NO current lumia phones will have continuum.

powering a second screen would sure require a special hardware, sure can't be fixed with a software update IMO. So I strongly doubt that 830 will ever get continuum.

My understanding at this point is that Microsoft will only be supporting continuum on those devices that have the display capability, the memory capability, and that have the USB type C connector. No current Lumia has the USB-C.
