Can I get some help with my Lumia 520 FB Messenger App problem(opaque tile)?

Lumia 520 FB Messenger App problem(opaque tile).

The app wont open. Also on Store the Update/View/Check Install/Share buttons are missing. I did reinstall it a couple of times already but it keeps doing it every once in a while.

apparently that's caused by a backup in progress. Try to leave it alone for a few minutes and it should be gone.

yes i did a backup last week and it didnt finish and i cancelled it. last week. is it still running?

No i don't think so. Could be a periodic backup this time around. Dumb, but have you restarted the device? Maybe something's stuck.
