Can I run W10S on a Surface Pro 3 & 4?

I have an SP3 and 4, both running Windows 10. I'm planning on getting the latest Surface Pro and would like to hand my 3&4 off to my kids.

It would be really helpful if I could update these devices to Windows 10S.

Is there an option to (upgrade, downgrade, sideways-grade) from Windows 10 Home and Pro to S?

If not, shouldn't there be, if people want it?

I've read somewhere that Microsoft are planning on selling Surface Pro (2017) with Windows 10 S installed, but I am not 100% sure that is going to happen and I have no idea when they're planning to do this.

Not sure as Surface Pro is made for Professional usage, the S version doesn't make much sense now. At least not until all the big apps are moved to UWP.

Surface Pro will come with Windows 10 Pro as it was listed on the Surface Specs page from Microsoft.

Jcmg62 it seems noone understands your question. I'd like to know myself. My Surface 3 is handed to my parents as I have no need for it. Windows 10 S would make my life easier as they would have device that's more secure and i dont have to waste time making things run again. There should be downgrade from Win 10 HOME/PRO to Win S.
