Can I still go to Download mode?

[Windows Central Question]

I can still go to Download mode.

I AM NEW HERE

I have Samsung S3 GT-I9300

It was working fine but suddenly, I turned it on and it is stuck on the Samsung LOGO forever. It doesn't go to recovery mode when pressing HOME+VOL UP+POWER. But I can still go to Download mode. Tried flashing a stock Firmware through odin, but I get an error "no PIT partition
I have looked all over the net for two days now and found some people with same problem but they have not fixed it yet.
Just to doublecheck in download mode i have the following info;

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME:
CUSTOM BINARY DONWLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom

Any ideas please help???
