Can i upgrade from WIN7 to WIN10 "for free" ?

Hello i bought Pc from 1 guy.
....
its care who is that guys...
but my question is
if i can upgrade to windows 10 without purchasing them, or buying key
i started PC and microsoft quested me if i want to upgrade because my win7 is old
or something...
