Can I upgrade my Desktop proccesor drom my Laptop

Hello, i have a question of y”all since im not to good with hardwares.i have a desktop with Core 2 Duo procesor and i have a laptop with Core i5 too.
So can i put my laptops procesor to my desktop? So can i upgrade it ?
