Hey, so I'm in Vietnam and just lost my 830 (RIP). I'm now planning on buying a 640XL while I'm here, but I need to know if I can use it on AT&T when I get back to the US. Can anyone help me out with this?

Make sure it has (3G) WCDMA 850 and 1900 MHz. Also LTE Bands 2, 4 and 17. No real need to worry about the 2G radio. It's pretty much universal.

Based on what I've seen of the 640 XL coming out of Asia it has over a dozen LTE Bands and a pentaband 3G radio and should cover what you need in Vietnam, back home and most any part of the world.

Thank you so much for answering! I posted this before signing in, so I can't reply. Looking at the Microsoft website, these are the network stats it gives:
GSM: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz
Data download speed up to pass GSM: 296.0 kbps EGPRS
Speed Maximum upload data via GSM: 236.8 kbps EGPRS
WCDMA: Band 1 (2100 MHz), Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 5 (850 MHz), Band 8 (900 MHz)
Data download speed up to over WCDMA: 42.2 Mbps (Cat 24)
Speed Maximum upload data via WCDMA: 5.76 Mbps (Cat 6)

Looks like the 3G is covered, but I don't see any of the LTE options you mentioned. This is the dual SIM version. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Seems you are looking at a variant without LTE. That fits with Vietnam. I don't believe they have any LTE deployed.
