Back in the day I used to have two phones that I used regularly. One was my 'cool' phone that had all the games and neat stuff on it. But sometimes I would pull out the SIM and throw it into a basic phone, only because it is smaller and it didn't get in the way when I was working.

Well, now that I have a Lumia 920, I am considering a Lumia 710 for the same reasons... it is smaller and less annoying in the pocket compared to the large (but awesome) 920.

Is it possible to have two phones on the one account, with the same purchased apps installed on both handsets simultaneously?

Yes. My old Focus still works with WiFi with the same account. I just can't download new apps without a SIM card. I can't switch back and forth since the Focus uses a regular SIM and the 920 uses a micro SIM.

I have a 710 and a 920 and yes, it's completely possible and seamless to have one MS account for both phones (and they both have microsims and I can confirm you can swap sims with no problem). I'll sometimes see app updates on my 710 and then head to the app store on the 920 to update if the notification hasn't appeared yet on the 920 for whatever reason.

I don't BTW find my 710 better in my pocket because of its bulk. I do find Nokia Drive a better, more mature product on WP7.5 and so I sometimes use my 710 (both of mine are unlocked) as my travel phone. It also has that connection transfer app that got dropped for Nokia WP8 which makes it easier to put a new sim in.

I can download apps over WiFi on my titan 2. It doesn't have a SIM card in it.

Cheers guys, thanks for the info. I was afraid you could only install paid apps on one phone at a time, but it looks like that won't be a problem.
