Cant Buy music/apps as Non-US user

I enjoy my windows phone however I cannot purchase apps and music/movies with my non-US credit/debit card.

Is there any way for a non-US user to make purchases or is Microsoft not interested in money from outside the US?

What country do you live in? Payment methods vary based upon country, but it is definitely possible to buy apps outside the US. This is from the UK site: Payment methods for the Windows Phone Store | Windows Phone How-to (United Kingdom)

U can add your local VISA card to your PayPal account and link PayPal as a payment option on your Microsoft Account. The easiest option though is to apply for a temporary MasterCard on ecocash and link that direct to your Microsoft Account. Your account details will have to be updated and your region selection will affect your ability to used the linked MC but there are ways to get around that...

Do you have the phone set to USA or Zimbabwe region?

Do you have your MS account settings set to USA or Zimbabwe? If the billing address for your Visa card doesn't match the address that Microsoft has then it will be flagged as possible fraud.
