cant delete mail on aol server from phone

when I delete mail on phone it's still on my lap top

It may be related to sync frequency. If your phone is not syncing to the account very often, the account has not gotten the notification of the delete...

Settings > email + accounts > tap the AOL name > inspect sync frequency setting.

Or... Delete emails and tap the sync button in the email box.
