Can't find Recycle bin in Desktop & can't check it in Personalization.

I tried to check Recycle bin in Personalization>change desktop icons but the option to check Recycle bin has greyed out. Thus, I can't select Recycle bin & it's disappeared in Desktop. It is Windows 8. I was trying something with the icon but after rebooting, it just vanished. PLEASE if anyone can help me with this.

Is it available in Windows Explorer? Right-click any "empty" white space in the left pane and select "Show all folders". The Recycle Bin should then appear at the bottom, under Network and Control Panel.

It feels like it is uninstalled. Recycle bin does not appear there as well. I can't find it.

If you go to Desktop > Personalize and select Recycle Bin does it appear?
