Can't take screenshot

Running the newest and greatest build on my ATT 830, straight from 8.1. Won't let me take screenshot. When I hit the volume up and power button, get message "couldn't take screenshot."

Anyone else with this issue? Any fix?

Are you sure the screenshots aren't being taken regardless of the error message? Did you check your photo library?

Are you saving photos to an SD card by any chance? Do camera photos save ok?

Suggested solutions:
* Save photos to phone instead of SD card
* swap phone storage to phone, take a screen cap, and then change back to SD card again
* delete the screenshot folder on the SD card and try again
* remove the SD card and reinsert it

Thanks for the comments. Here's the status:

Since the upgrade, my 830 doesn't even recognize my SD card (the subject of another topic-I get an error message that server settings won't allow use of SD card-no idea what that means)
Photos are set to save to phone. A normal camera shot is saving to the phone and viewable in photos
Screenshots are not being seen anywhere
I can't access my SD card

I did, no change. Still cannot take a screenshot.
