Can't update to 8.1 on my AT&T Lumia 925

Every time I go to settings and try to update my phone, it says that it last checked for updates 4 months ago and that everything is up to date. Even when i manually tell it to search for an update, it doesn't. Any advice on how to get 8.1 on my AT&T 925?

Soft reset - power button + volume down key for about 10-15 seconds then try again.
