Changes I would like to see in the Forums

I have a few changes I would like to discuss so have a coke and a smile then read on as I start this rant I would like to say... thanks for reading...

1) I would like to start a new topic group the Parent forum would be Microsoft Extras the sub forums would be XBOX, SKYDRIVE, and ZUNE. This would open the door for Internet searches for those topics and bring more people here. I would like to put it under WinMo 6.5 and before WPCentral. would look like this:

-Windows Mobile 6.5 and earlier

-Microsoft Extras for windows Phone
--XBOX
--SKYDRIVE
--ZUNE

-WPCentral

2) I want to change the user descriptions as shown on each post. Now we have a joined date I think this is useless I would like to remove it and add a space for users to put in what device they have. It would then be like this:

User Name
Tittle
the stars
Avatar
User Device
User Location

I need this to help me when moderating the forums when someone posts a device specific question in the wrong forum I wont have to ask them what device they have before I move the thread.

I can fix number 1 on my own except for the pictures I don't have access to the FTP for that. Number 2 on the other hand I have no Idea how to change that trust me I have looked through everything I can find and its not in my access level.


There was something else but I cant remember what it will come to me in a minute.

I remembered I also want to add a new Parent forum for the discussion of other OS's something like

-Other Operation Systems
--IOs
--Black Barry
--Webos

I would add an announcement to each forum to lead people to our sister sites something like for more in depth discussions of this OS please visit (Site link here)

Would you just want links to point to the site instead of actual forums or do you want to keep discussions here?

Keep the discussion here it would mainly be news stories. Like when Palm launches a new device we/I/the community can talk about the news here and link to the story on our other sites. Hopefully when people search WebOS forums for example they might find us and start reading about WP7...

Just a little more clarification they have the same thing at Android Central a forums for other OS's I'm not trying to steel the conversation from our other forums I just would like to have a place to put threads about those topics. Here is an example thread that should be in the WebOS forum if we had one:

Well Ron it looks like its just you and me what do you think? Can you help me with #2 above do you have any idea how to do this?

I see no objections so its XBOX tonight then re arranging the forums tomorrow morning. Ill get up early make a pot of coffee and have most of it done before my family even gets out of bed...

I still need help with #2 any volunteers?
