I have a Nokia Lumia 1520, which was working fine prior to the latest update by Nokia. Whenever I put the phone in the charger overnight, it doesn't charge fully.
How do you know your phone is not charging? unplug the charger from the phone and go to setting and tape on battery saver. Under battery info, time since last charge should be 1 hour or less.
Fix number one: Use a different USB charger that does not have a detachable USB cable, such as the one that came with the Nokia 520 or other cheap charger from other manufacturers. These cheap chargers do not allowed the phone to go to battery service mode, therefore; you can let it charge overnight. always check the time since last charge after every charge and make sure it's always 1 hour or less.
Fix number two: If you are still using the original USB Charger that came with the Lumia 1520 with the detachable USB cable, do not charge your phone overnight. If you charge your phone overnight, the battery will enter service mode after it's fully charged. This means that the phone will start depleting and charging the battery back and forth. For any given time, DO NOT CHARGE YOUR PHONE FOR MOERE THAN 3 HOURS AT A TIME.
if you want to charge your phone for more than three hours, you must unplug it every three hours.
After every charge, make sure that your battery info for time last charge is 1 hour or less. If it's more than 1 hours, the phone is not charging correctly. Therefore, you need to start cutting the charging time to less than 3 hours increment until you find the right spot.
