Charging issues

I think micro USB provides a limited amount of current to flow through, so larger batteries take longer to fully charge. Also, I usually cycle the batteries of my devices to get longer life and a more accurate meter reading. Finally, turning the device off (or at least some of the features) will make it charge faster. Maybe that will help.

Update: I have received my Focus S back from Samsung, but am still having the same issue with charging. They said they repaired the device and replaced some part, but still having the same problem. Disappointed with the repair since they didn't verify that it was fixed, especially when I sent along a note on how to replicate the problem. Anyways I just went ahead and got a new phone from AT&T and this one has no charging problems at all. Also, FYI, my Focus S cameback from Samsung flashed with rom label Samsung Haden. I am guessing that this is the name that Samsung original gave the Focus S. The roms updates to 7740 and also displays the type of connection (Edge, 3g, 3g+) as connection switches. I hate that AT&T just gives you 4g indication when you have any 3g connection. Then rom does lack features that are on the Focus S rom such as Extra Settings and High Fidelity and are not avaliable for download in marketplace.

Hey, I know this thread is ages old but I just wanted to share this with you:

I got a Focus S and updated it to Tango. I left it charging overnight at work and came in this morning to the exact issue you describe - still showing as charging and at 98%.

I unplugged it, shut it down, booted it up, plugged it back, went to battery under settings and toggled battery saver on and off a few times. Left it toggled on, and then left the phone for 10 minutes. Checked again - fully charged and static battery icon with plug symbol (i.e. as it should be) and showing 100% charged under settings.

Maybe its an issue with the battery saver option? Anyhow, just thought I'd share.
