charging notification

My wife and I both have icons. With both of our phones, it seems to take an excessively long time for the phone to identify that it has been plugged in to charge. In some cases, it won't give the notification sound for upwards of a minute. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think I've had a single phone that actually did that.

I don't own an Icon, but I have an L1520. Mine was doing that also. I did a soft reset, and that fixed it. (Volume down + power held down at the same time until the phone shuts down. It will power on by itself afterward)
