This option has disappeared on newer pics. Still there for older ones. Any ideas?

I'm facing this as well, then when I click on the option for the older pics, no slider comes up.

I noticed this yesterday when taking some outdoor pics. However newer pics has the slider and some older don't. It's a crapshoot.
