cleaning USB ports with alcohol - corrosion

Hi,
I needed to clean the USB ports. I used alcohol, but I forgot that the USB ports on my laptop are at low voltage even when the laptop is off.

Is it safe? Doesn't it start the corrosion process?

It should be fine. Alcohol is used to clean a lot of electrical components. I would use 90% as opposed to 70% though.
