Clearing Facebook Notifications

How do I clear facebook notifications? I show 7 on my live tile and no matter how many times I open the program and check them, they never clear.

That hasn't worked for me. Anyone else have any solutions? My notification count keeps getting higher.

I have the same issue and had to uninstall and reinstall

Doesn't that close the app and totally defeats the purpose of fast resume?

Sure, but that wasn't the question. I can't change the damn system, just telling him how to clear the notifications.

I tested this out some more and it seems that backing out won't clear them if you didn't actually view the posts with notifications. If they have been viewed, backing out clears the counter on the tile.
