cog and lightening bolt on my nokia lumia 530

i have a noika lumia 530 and for over a week the volume up button not working and a cog and lightening bolt staying on the screen i am unable to do anything with it

Hold the Power button and the down Volume button at the same time for a minute and let it reboot. That happened to my 1520 once and that solved the problem for me.
