Collage maker that preserves images

Hello guys! I am looking for an app that lets me take a dozen or so album artwork scans, and create a collage to fit my start screen, while still keeping the album artwork in it's original form (square).

I've tried a lot, but I haven't found any yet.. Thank you for reading, and thanks in advance for the help.

Has it to be a phone app?
There are some nice windows programs ( Yea real oldfashion programs ) who can do the same thing.

Just a tip ( its for free this time ).
Handpick some of your best pictures and use paint, simple and basic.
Just copy and paste til you have your layout filled.

I've done that, but it was pretty unpleasant =(

Okay, did you try it with paint.net
it has some extra options than the simple paint in windows itself.
