Better to be able to roll back the update than it messing up, leaving you with a broken OS.

Windows has gotten so bloated it's pathetic. And yeah, Windows 10 is still dumb as a board when it comes to errors so obviously MS thought they'd better put some fail-safes in place in hopes of alleviating a catastrophe for many when updates fail. Not betting this'll be a savour either as it's the same old crap I've experienced since the OS became mainstream.

I got 'there was a problem, try again later'. No code, when attempting to install any app from the microsoft store (for almost a year, over multiple updates, and after an in place upgrade, and despite app cache clearing, and store resetting).

It seems to be a problem lots of folks are having.

I'm really at the point in my system where uninstalling and restarting all of windows is less appealing than missing out on my purchased microsoft store apps. And there's no way to know that would actually fix it.
