compass on lumia 800

hi all,
has anyone found out how to or if it is possible to access the compass on its own, I know how to test it via the diagnostic app but not to use it or calibrate it any other way

You could use an app like "Heads Up Compass" to use the compass. It doesn't have any celebration options but I've never had to do that. It always must works.

thanks for that, though I did get around it by using another third party compass app which did have the calibration option(as it was 90 deg out it was needed), but you would have thought you could access it via the original phone software,
