Computer not recognizing focus s

So I plug my wife's focus s into the computer and the it tells me that the usb device is not recognized. I've read through a lot of the stuff online and after trying various things the only thing that may be the issue is the data cable. She misplaced hers and has been using my titan's charger to charge. Can someone do me a favor and use a non oem charger w/ their focus s and tell me if the computer recognizes your phone? If anyone has any other suggestions I'm open to it. Thanks!

I think I figured it out. The male connector at the bottom of the phone is touchy or loose. After wiggling the connection around I was finally able to have the computer recognize the phone. Oddly enough, it charged just fine when plugged in to the computer before this.

Huh.... A loose connector makes sense. Haven't heard too many "S" devices with that. Thanks for the update. Will know what to check for in similar situations.
