If you don't mind I'd like examples.... The only real similarity I see is the fact that it's a short TTK FPS. The same could be said about Battlefield.
The general look and behavior of many weapons is similar to CoD, IMO. Whatever the generic, automatic rassault rifle is in Titanfall, it just feels like what you could find in anything from the CoD franchise. The control scheme is obviously similar, though shooters almost require it (except Halo). The hit detection is horribly bad, in a way that gives it an auto-aim feel like CoD, and in the worst way. They copied over the Killcam, which I absolutely hate.
Not sure I would go there, Yea, the campaign sucked on it, just a bunch of multiplayer games with a video in-between but, you had to do it to get the larger titan.
Over all I thought it was great and a lot of fun, some of the perks of a COD game but, come on...titans and titan battles, that was just freaking awesome.
Even the new COD copied the rocket jumps in Titanfall... I don't play it as much any more but, no question it was a great multiplayer game.
I didn't necessarily hate the campaign itself, but they gave you so little. There was no backstory of the plot. There was no finality to it. Like I have said in the past, the Titanfall campaign is like going to a 2-hour movie, showing up 45 minutes late, 30 minutes in the middle, then leaving 45 minutes early. You don't know how they got to that point, and you don't know what the resolution of anything is.
The Titans felt really good, but almost to a fault. They were such a seamless experience from out-of-Titan combat that you could almost forget that you were in one, in a way. As for saying a game 3 years in the making copied from Titanfall because of a double-jump, that's just ludicrous. It's more that such a thing is where shooters have been going towards, really. Double-jumping isn't new, and it certainly didn't come from Titanfall. I'd call it far from great, but it certainly wasn't bad, either. It was solid, but forgettable.
