I have still got it working fine on my W1-U00, but I'm not sure that if you ran the ROM flashing now, that you would get the update.
This is because Microsoft temporarily took down the update for devices getting the 80183309 error, and it's not just Huawei devices getting that same error!

It's probably best to wait for a few days to get an official reply back from Eli A at the Microsoft Community.

So after the Russian ROM gave me battery trouble, I reinstalled the US ROM, and the updates seem to still be available.

That's right! Loads of people however are reporting a SD card issue with Huawei smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1!

yessssssssss Windows phone 8.1 works very well,now i'm using my hauwei w1 with windows phone 8.1 ,and now i'm playing temple run 2 with 512 ram..I'm so happy right now.

Obs!Only the problem is because i can't use it with (SD CARD 4 class), only with SD CARD 6 class or 10 class.
(Windows phone 8.1 doesn't support SD CARD with 4 class)

My version OS is 8.10.12393.890

I've found one major issue, my phone won't confirm SD-cards (I've tried a class 4 8 gb(which was allready in the phone) and a new class 10 32 gb) after the update to wp 8.1.
There are more people who had the same problem, so beware!

When rebooting, SD card is not found with wp8.10.12397.895 (1030.5614.00000.26010) W1-U00
When connecting to power , remove battery, phone stays on, remove sd card and reinsert.
Now my Sd card works, adata class 6 4gb

As at 27/8/2014, still no known fix. MS say it's Huawei's problem. Huawei silent.

Go via Dev Preview. Probably no future updates from Huawei as they're not interested in Windows Phone anymore!

I FOUND A SOLUTION to upgrade to wp8.1, with sd card reconised, no problems with battery, 3G, ect..
I follow instructions and it works really fine on my Huawei w1!!!!!
