Confused about firmware versions.

Hey, I have a question regarding firmware versions.

I currently own a Lumina 800 from Telus and I keep hearing about firmware 1600.2487.8107.12070 and 1750.805.8773.12140. I checked my firmware version and it states im running 1600.2483.8107.11501.

Am I just not eligible for these updates because Telus has decided not to bother? I have checked the Zune software and it claims i'm up to date.

I don't really know how this works so I figured I would ask you kind people.

Most likely that your carrier has decided against releasing those firmware revisions.

I am fairly sure that the 12140 revision is the one that comes with the Tango OS update for the phone and adds various features like wifi hotspot to the phone. That update is currently only available in China I believe, but should be rolling out globally reasonably soon (a month or two maybe).

While not a major OS revision, the Tango update will more than likely be supported by your carrier and when it is, the firmware will be included in that.
