Is there any way to keep my contacts local? When I add one, it either gets synced to google or live, and I am not a huge fan of handing over all of my friends' personal details to either Google or Microsoft (it's a matter of principle). Is there any way to just store them locally??

right now there is no local sync op[tion like there was with windows mobile using active sync. There have been suggestions on a MS site where you can vote for things/features you want to see added to upcoming updates and that has been asked for a fair amount whether its included or not remains to be seen. I have asked for it myself. You can have an option for Outlook and Exchange active sync through Office 365 or if your company has Office 2003 or 2007 or 2010and uses exchange Office 365 is as low as 6.00 a month but ultimately that option would be a cloud option. I have been thinking about it and may do the thirty day free trial. You can go to microsoft.com and find office 365 and look at the demos or click on the free trial.

Wow, that sucks. I'm not after any kind of sync, I just want the contacts to be stored on the phone only.
