Copy, Move and Open

Running a fully updated Windows 10 Pro. Something has happen to copy & move.
When I open a folder using File Explorer and drag a file to that folder from the Desktop it wants to "open" the file instead of copying it. This is something new that has happen in the last 3 or 4 days.

I've come to believe that MS has been messing with the wireless interface; for months I've had trouble with my wireless connection (internet constantly disconnects on Surface Book and Invoke), Bluetooth mouse AND wireless RF trackball functionality...very frustrating.
