copy PDF from WP7

:(
can u email it?
or take screenshots?

You can take a screenshot of the pdf and email the picture.
WP7 is like an idiot when it comes to files.
The whole concept of files and folders is missing in WP7.
That might be the thing that will define WP7 marketshare. Today sharing between devices is one of the key features and WP7 fails when it comes to sharing files.
It's good for images though !!! :D

You should go to "smoked by a WP7" and compete in emailing a pdf :D

I'ts no easy task, cause only a homebrew app can do it.
To install homebrew apps you need to unlock your phone.
But the thing I'm wondering is how did you get the PDF on the phone in the first place?
Only way I see is somebody sent you the pdf over the email.
If that is the case then you can forward that email with the attachment to yourself and open it on the PC or wherever !?

P.S
The homebrew app I use to make screenshots is called Screen Capturer.

Test post. Sorry. Damn Board Express

Sent from my HTC Surround using Board Express

You can open PDFs from SkyDrive or Dropbox (or even a webpage) and it will save to your phone. Have not figured out how to access that folder for offloading though.

downloaded it from thestudentroom.co.uk but then the thread was deleted (or something)

and my phone has the official microsoft unlock

OK, I see but then again, how can you open your pdf on the phone ?
You can't browse folders because they don't exist o.O!
You can't use a WP7 as a storage device so thats a dead end too..

If your phone is developer unlocked then you can install this little app
[XAP] Screen Capturer v3 - use Camera key to get screenshot - xda-developers
And try to make screenshots of the pdf and upload the images. If you can still find the downloaded pdf and open it ...

Its things like this that make WP7 suck :)
Its not frequent that I need stuff like this but when I do it hurts!

yeah i just used screen capture there was a download link on the thread but now it is deleted and so is the file

I don't get this thread. Why don't you simply download the PDF on the PC?

I don't see any situation in where you must download the PDF on your to acess it on your PC.

EDIT: If the thread was deleted, then the PDF should no longer be available for viewing on the phone!

But if it's indeed somehow stored on the phone, then it must show up on the Office Hub. From there, simply go to Location - Phone - Long press on the file - Upload to Skydrive. Then go to Skydrive on your PC and download the file!

Well, on my phone, the first PDF triggers a request to install Reader. From then on, PDF's are visible from that app only, with the only option to delete them. They are not visible from the office hub.
