copying error

I have lumia640 xl dual sim whenever i try to copy a mkv movie to my sd card when 10 sec are remaining to complete the copying process i get an error " cannot copy "name of the movie""THE DEVICE HAS STOPPED RESPONDING OR HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED".iT GIVES THREE OPTIONS SKIP SKIP ALL CANCEL.WHEN I CLICK SKIP ALL IT ROLLBACKS THE COPY COMMAND.

We may need more details:

How much free space did your SD Card have?

How large (file size) is/are the movie/s?

Have you tried copying the movies directly to your SD Card, i.e. by connecting the SD card directly to your PC?

SD card has 7 gb space .Movie size is of 4 gb.How to connect sd card directly to a desktop pc.?

Ah, yes, that's the culprit - the movie size is 4GB. I'm not sure what's going on, but I also noticed that (in an L535 I used to own) any movie greater than or equal to 4GB in file size won't play properly. You would need to resize the movie file, i.e. by using a video converting software and then reducing either the frame size or the frame rate.

There are SD Card - to - USB adaptors readily purchasable from almost any PC store; those should allow you to connect your SD Card directly to a desktop PC.
