Cortana asks for and will not accept old password, what should I do?

cortana asks for and will not accept old pass word

my pass word for Hotmail was changed and Cortana needs my old pass word to go to next step. It says my old pass word is incorrect.
I am not loving windows 10!

I think she might be referring the password you previously used to log in on that computer.

Me too - I put in my Name & Pword - accepts

It asks me to put the old password in one more time - I d - It does NOT accept the same password it just accepted a few seconds ago. CANNOT make the dam thing work

Please use your system password.. it will work.. I also faced the same issue but now its working.
