Cortana features outside US/Launch Countries

Unfortunately cortana will speak pt-br because it is official variation chosen by Microsoft. Pt-BR is more spoken and learned around the world.
We have about 200 million of Pt-BR speakers and about 12 million of pt-pt speakers.

did you try to use voice command in Windows Phone 8 using pt-pt? It doesn't exist only pt-br is available.

Yes I tried in pt/br, but she doesn?t understand me well. there is no pt-pt voice I think...

it's simple.. Do you want cortana or just some of the features then register as dev, download dev preview app, put phone on English and wait

Thanks for that. I'm already looking forward to the Dev Preview, so I was kinda putting it out there as, lets face it, the non-enthusiasts are going to have to wait for the "proper" release

Maybe Microsoft doesn't know, but PT-br is not a native language, but only a dialect from PT-pt.

N?o escrevemos assim e nem todos falam assim. O Brasil ? um pa?s enorme, com sotaques varia??es e g?rias.
Mas ? a varia??o da L?ngua Portuguesa mais bonita, isso j? foi dito e confirmado por muitos artistas internacionais.

Voc? n?o entendeu...n?o estou contra pt/br na cortana. Apenas acho que deveria ter pt/pt at? porque existem muitas apps com as duas vers?es linguisticas. E conhe?o o Brasil n?o t?o bem quanto voc? mas tamb?m o acho lindo, bem como os sotaques das m?ltiplas regi?es em especial da nordestina, tal como o do nosso alentejano.
