Cortana only working with headset - Lumia 925

So after a hard reset and a lot of messing with the settings, I got Cortana working... but only through the headset.

It's like it only gets the mic input from an outer source.

Anyone with this problem? Any solutions I might not have envisioned?

I have exactly the same problem.

I also realize it's not just the Cortana, like everything is not working with the original microphone. I mean like SoundCloud, which I used to detect what song is that, it's no longer working, unless I use my headset as microphone. Can you try as well to see if the microphone is not working for other apps?

like in WhatsApp I cannot record my voicemail anymore, this very annoying!

Ok we're on a thread in Microsoft support forums... seems there are lots of people with this issue. Even worse, the thing is that my lumia's 925 mic only works with calls, not even video recording, apps, cortana, etc..
