Cortana's apearrance changed?

File this under stupid ocd quirk. For some reason Cortana on my taskbar changed and I can't stand it. Is there anyway to switch it back (to the darker taskbar look)

Check your colour scheme and theme - you might have the light theme selected

I do, and always have across all my computers. Either way changing to dark theme makes no change.

Strange, noticed the same after an update few weeks ago.
And oh wonder, it changed to Grey again today!
